Castleoak – Stratton – Internal Temporary Staircase

Brunel Scaffold has erected and dismantled an internal temporary staircase tower to the three storey block at Castleoak, Stratton. The staircase was erected in tube and fitting with pre fabricated staircase treads to provide access to the floor levels inside the timber frame build.

Defence Academy – Shrivenham – Update!

Brunel Scaffolding has finished erecting the scaffold to the iconic clock tower on Greenhill House at the Royal Military College in Shrivenham.

New H & M – Swindon – Update

Work is continuing at the new H&M store in Swindon, Brunel Scaffolding is now nearing the completion of the Fleming Way elevation. The scaffold is again fully erected in one phase with the top lift being boarded with toe boards and handrail. Full debris netting will be fixed to the external elevation of scaffold with hoarding to section of the public footpath from the working area.

New H & M Store – Swindon

Brunel Scaffolding is currently nearing completion of the external scaffolding to the new H&M store in Swindon’s town centre.

The scaffolding to the front elevation is a fully boarded scaffold complete with full height debris netting, a triple handrail to the top lift and buttress support. The scaffold is tied into the buildings first floor concrete floor slab using Hilti masonry ties, there is also a buttress running the full length of the elevation, which has allowed the contractor to fix their site hoarding and the stores future advertising to during the construction phase.

Westmead Lane – Chippenham

Brunel Scaffolding started the erection of the external scaffold to a new care home in Chippenham for McCarthy & Stone. The new building is a traditional block construction with a timber frame unit situated on the roof of the traditional block. The scaffold is again a designed scaffold by Optima and will involve the use of beams to span the concrete panels at ground floor level due to the ongoing undermining by the ground-workers.

Defence Academy – Shrivenham – Update!

Brunel Scaffolding last week started erecting the scaffold to the iconic clock tower on Greenhill House at the Royal Military College in Shrivenham.

The scaffold is a design scaffold by Optima and will take approx 3 days to complete before the main contractor can get on with replacing the lead and re decorating the clock face.

MOD – Middle Wallop

Brunel Scaffolding has recently dismantled and cleared all the scaffolding which was in place at Hangar 4; Middle Wallop. 

The scaffold was designed by Optima and involved the use of over 50 beams which where hired from Generation Hire & Sale, including 26no ‘Astrix 750’beams. 

Rooftech emailed Brunel Scaffolding with the following message to the team: 

‘I would like to thank you and your team for the professional way in which you have undertaken and completed  the works to Hanger 4. 
Thanks to close cooperation with the hangar management and staff there have been no incidents or accidents to report and the hangars remained fully operational during the contract period.
 
Could you please pass on my thanks to your guys.’

Fitzwarren House – Swindon

Brunel Scaffolding has started to erect a basic scaffold to Fitzwarren retirement home in Swindon. The scaffolding will be used by Carmichael Brown Ltd to install solar panels on the roof of the building. The scaffold will be fully erected in approximately 1 week, they will be using a combination of tube and fitting and cup-lock scaffold to the internal courtyard.

The first 12m section was completed one of our gangs on Tuesday 2nd September, it has ladder access to the working lift with a double handrail and toe board edge protection. We also erected a double handrail up the hip end ridge of the roof for fall protection for the solar panel installation team.

Defence Academy – Shrivenham

Brunel Scaffolding have been working on Greenhill House at The Defence Academy over the last few weeks. Roofing works are now in progress to replace the old tiled roof to all elevations. In the coming weeks more scaffold will be erected to the iconic clock tower which is situated on the roof of the south elevation.
